What kind of pie can be made from honey mushrooms. Pie with honey mushrooms in the oven from puff pastry and yeast dough. Pie with honey mushrooms and cabbage made from yeast dough

I have purchased frozen butter yeast dough, but it’s better to make it yourself or buy it ready-made in the store. Well, since I had dough in the freezer, I decided to make a pie from it, by the way it turned out very tasty.

First you need to defrost the dough. While it is defrosting, fry the honey mushrooms with onions in butter (I used 3 medium onions) and add salt/pepper.

Roll out the dough into a large layer to fit the baking tray.

Grease a baking sheet with a piece of butter and place a layer of dough on it.

Then lay out the potatoes cut into slices (slices) in one layer, add salt/pepper

Place mushrooms and onions on top of the potatoes, carefully level everything

and cover the top with another layer of potatoes. Add a little salt and arrange small pieces of butter to make the pie juicier.

Then cover the pie with a second layer of dough, carefully pinch the edges (I made a small hole in the middle and pricked the pie with a fork so that it would bake better). Grease the pie with melted butter and place in a well-heated oven over medium heat for 25-30 minutes.

We take out our pie and grease the top with a piece of butter and wrap it in a towel (I have two towels), so the pie will be softer and juicier).

I love eating this pie with a glass of cold milk)))

Bon appetit!

Who among us doesn’t like to eat delicious food? Honey mushroom pie is a great way to satisfy your hunger. This dish can also be served on a holiday table. The recipe for making it is quite simple. The only difficulty you may encounter while preparing this dish is the choice of ingredients. It is very important to approach the selection of mushrooms responsibly. In our article we will consider not only the honey mushroom pie and its recipe, but also how to choose the right ingredients, namely mushrooms.

How to choose the right mushrooms?

Honey mushrooms are one of the most common mushrooms used in cooking. But, like everyone else, you need to be able to choose honey mushrooms, whether in the forest or on store shelves.

After all, spoiled mushrooms can cause the same harm to the body as poisonous ones. You can collect mushrooms in the forest only if you are a mushroom picker with many years of experience, or if you go looking for them with a person in whose competence you are absolutely confident.

When buying, you also need to be confident in the seller. Let's look at the main signs of a quality mushroom. First of all, you need to pay attention to the stem of the mushroom. It should have a “skirt” at the very base. The false mushroom does not have it. Real honey mushrooms have a pronounced mushroom aroma. False, on the contrary, has a putrid, unpleasant odor that smacks of earth.

There are “scales” on the cap of the original honey mushrooms. The cap of the false mushroom is absolutely smooth.

There are also differences in color. In the false mushroom it is pronounced. The inside of their cap is an unhealthy greenish color. While a real mushroom has a muted beige color, and the cap has plates on the inside.

Mushrooms also have characteristic differences in taste, but it is better not to get to this point.

If you decide to buy honey mushrooms in a store or market, pay attention to their general condition. The surface of the mushroom should be without visible damage. They should also be free of dark spots, mold or rot.

How to choose pickled mushrooms in the store?

Have you decided to make a pie with honey mushrooms, but you don’t have them at home, and you can’t buy fresh ones in the store, and the mushroom season is long over? There is always the opportunity to go to the nearest market and buy pickled mushrooms. It would seem that it could be easier than buying ready-made canned food. But even in this case, you need to have minimal knowledge so as not to buy a spoiled product. Firstly, pickled mushrooms should be stored only in glass containers, through which the condition of the product can be examined. All mushrooms should be the same size. Real honey mushrooms have a pale brown color. If the mushrooms in the jar are bright brown, then most likely they are artificially bred and do not have any beneficial properties. The marinade should be liquid and transparent. And, of course, it is always necessary to pay attention to the expiration date and to ensure that the container does not have any damage.

Harm and benefit of honey mushrooms

Before you decide to cook a pie with honey mushrooms, you should familiarize yourself with their beneficial and harmful qualities in order to understand whether you want to feed your family with such a dish or whether it is better to abstain.

Honey mushrooms contain a large amount of useful microelements and vitamins. Like any other mushroom, they contain a large amount of protein, which is well absorbed by the body, unlike what is found in meat.

Due to the high potassium content, honey mushrooms are very useful for the functioning of the thyroid gland.

It is good to consume these mushrooms for people who suffer from diseases of the gastrointestinal tract and anemia.

Honey mushrooms are a low-calorie product, but very nutritious. You can eat them without fear that you may gain weight. It is very good to use this product for people who are on a diet or during fasting. They contain a large amount of nutrients that can replace a full meat diet.

Since honey mushrooms contain a lot of calcium, they have a general strengthening effect on the entire body, especially on hair, bones and nails. In addition, they have a positive effect on the cardiovascular system.

Like any other product, honey mushrooms have their contraindications.

If you prepare a pie with honey mushrooms without following the technology, you risk ending up in the hospital with severe poisoning.

The first signs of poisoning are nausea and dizziness. In this case, you must immediately call an ambulance. Before she arrives, drink activated charcoal.

Honey mushrooms are nutritious mushrooms. Just 100 grams of honey mushrooms is enough to satisfy the body’s need for elements such as zinc and copper. Therefore, honey mushroom puree soup is not only tasty, but also healthy.

We're having a mushroom boom this year! I've never seen so many before. The market is simply flooded. All roadsides are lined with mushroom picking cars. And although I have long been indifferent to honey mushrooms, and if I buy mushrooms, then only white ones (which are already packaged in bags in the freezer, for aromatic soup), I could not resist, succumbed to the “general panic” and took several buckets. I boiled some of it and put it in the freezer, immediately fried some of it in sour cream, and spent a small part on a pie. I had neither the strength nor the desire to marinate. The pie, or rather this is not a pie but a tart, is very simple to make, the dough is unleavened, mixed with sour cream, the filling consists of eggs, cheese and mushrooms. But despite its simplicity, it is very tasty; you can take it with you to work, for a walk, and more as a snack.

For the test:
- 1.5 tbsp flour,
- 100 g butter,
- 0.5 tbsp light sour cream,
- a pinch of salt and a pinch of sugar,
- 1 tsp baking powder.

For filling:
- 1 kg of honey mushrooms (or 500 g of honey mushrooms, 500 g of champignons),
- 3 eggs,
- 1 large onion,

- 4 tbsp cream 33%,
- 150 g hard cheese (I used Tilsitter),
- salt, freshly ground pepper,

- butter and vegetable oil for frying.

Melt and cool the butter. Mix flour, salt, sugar, baking powder. Pour sour cream and butter into the flour mixture and knead into a soft, elastic dough. Place in the refrigerator for an hour.
Boil the mushrooms, cool and fry in a mixture of butter and vegetable oil along with onions. If you also use champignons, you do not need to boil them. Lightly beat the eggs with cream (you can use sour cream), add grated cheese and mushrooms. Add salt and pepper to taste and mix well. (You can also add any greens, but my young men don’t like them, so I don’t add them.)
Preheat the oven to 170 degrees. Grease a mold with a diameter of 20-22 cm with butter. Roll out the dough into a layer 1-2 cm thick. Place in the mold so that the dough hangs over the sides. Using a rolling pin, cut off any excess dough hanging over it by rolling it along the sides of the pan. Prick the dough with a fork and add the filling. You can sprinkle grated cheese on top if you wish. Bake for 35-40 minutes until lightly browned. Serve chilled.
