Jellied pie with canned fish - the best recipes. Quick fish pie from canned food and batter with sour cream Pie with canned batter from batter

A pie made from batter with canned food will serve as an excellent hot appetizer for a simple lunch or holiday table. This product can be prepared in different ways. We will look at the simplest and fastest recipes.

Making a pie with canned food and potatoes from batter

Few people know, but a pie made with batter is much softer and more tender than one made using a regular base. That is why this product is very popular among most housewives.

So, to make a pie with canned food and potatoes from batter, we will need the following components:

Making the batter

Before baking with canned food, you should knead the base to a homogeneous consistency. To do this, beat chicken eggs vigorously with a whisk, and then alternately add high-fat mayonnaise, slaked baking soda and thick store-bought sour cream. Finally, add sifted flour to the egg base and mix everything thoroughly. The output is a homogeneous liquid mass, which is immediately used for its intended purpose.

Preparing the filling

A pie made with batter turns out especially tasty if, in addition to saury, you add potatoes and fried vegetables to the filling. But before using them, the products must be properly processed.

Potato tubers are peeled and then cut into thin slices. The onions are peeled and cut into small cubes. As for carrots, they are simply grated on a large grater.

After the described steps, begin frying some of the ingredients. The onions and carrots are placed in a frying pan, added to them and placed on the stove. Stirring regularly, fry the ingredients until they are browned. Finally, the sautéed products are salted and peppered to taste.

As for canned saury, it is removed from the can and crushed with a fork.

Product formation process

A pie made from batter with canned food is formed in just 10-12 minutes. To do this, use a regular frying pan or other heat-resistant form, pre-greased with oil. ½ of the base is poured into it, and then it is covered in an even layer with potato slices. Sprinkling the vegetable with a small amount of salt, spread canned fish gruel on it, and then sautéed onions and carrots.

At the very end, the saury pie is filled with the second part of the batter.

How should you bake in the oven?

A pie made from batter with canned food is baked only in a preheated oven. They do this for a whole hour (a little more is possible). After the product has set well, rises and becomes golden brown, it is immediately taken out and cooled a little right in the mold.

We present it to the table

Pie made from batter with canned food should be served warm. It is cut directly into the baking dish and placed on plates. In addition to this product, tomato paste, sauce or ketchup is served.

Once you try this pie, you will make it again and again. After all, it turns out very tasty, soft, tender and juicy. Some housewives serve it to the table not just as a hot snack, but as a complete hearty and nutritious lunch.

Making a pie with rice and canned fish from batter

As mentioned above, this pie can be made with different fillings. The potato option was discussed above. Now I would like to tell you how such a product can be made using rice cereal.

So, we need the following products:

  • high fat mayonnaise - 2 full large spoons;
  • thick sour cream - 185 g;
  • fresh chicken eggs - 3 pcs.;
  • soda slaked with table vinegar - dessert spoon;
  • canned saury (in oil) - 1 standard jar;
  • flour, sifted, light - 6 large spoons;
  • sunflower oil - 20 ml (for greasing the mold and frying vegetables);
  • long rice - 2/3 cup (for filling);
  • onions - 3 large heads (for filling);
  • large carrot - 1 pc. (For filling);
  • salt, allspice - to taste.

Making the dough and filling

The basis for such a pie is made exactly the same as presented above. Therefore, we will not describe this process.

As for the filling, you should saute the onions and carrots separately, and then boil the rice cereal and combine both components together, adding salt and pepper.

Form the cake, bake it in the oven and serve

After the dough is kneaded and the filling is prepared, you should begin shaping the pie. To do this, place half of the base in a greased form, and then cover it with a mixture of rice cereal and fried vegetables. After this, fish paste is placed on the grain. Finally, all the ingredients are poured into the batter and placed in a preheated oven.

A pie made from batter with canned food is baked at a temperature of 200 degrees for 60 minutes. After this, the product is removed and cooled slightly in the mold. At the end, the pie is cut into portions and presented to family members along with a cup of sweet tea.

There are recipes that are also called. This means that they cook very quickly and have an amazing taste. I believe that jellied pie belongs specifically to this category of recipes. Not so long ago we were looking at ideas, and today we are talking about canned fish.

The most important thing here is to buy good, tasty canned food. It can be absolutely any fish - tuna, saury, sardine, etc. But it should be either in its own juice or in oil. The product in tomato juice or with vegetable additives is not suitable for us.

I also prefer not to take jars that are marked “for salads.” Because the fish in them is already crushed and it is not visible in what condition it was originally. It’s important for me to see how much the manufacturer puts in the product, and whether there are any unnecessary additives or impurities.

The dough for such a filling pie is prepared in five minutes from the simplest ingredients. Most often based on kefir, sour cream or mayonnaise. I think you definitely have some of this in your refrigerator, so let’s start cooking.

Advice! Glass and silicone molds are not suitable for this type of dough. In them the cake is not baked in the middle. Therefore, we take only metal forms.

I consider this recipe to be the most common and simple. We need to take kefir that has stood for a little while. Then it will become more sour and will better extinguish the soda.

During the cooling process, the filling cake may settle a little and this is normal. It always produces a soft crust that seems to spring back when squeezed.

The dough itself is prepared without eggs.

Let's take:

  • 200 g of any canned food,
  • 2 eggs,
  • 1 glass of kefir,
  • 2.5 cups flour,
  • 0.5 tsp soda,
  • salt,
  • green onions.

As we remember, soda is quenched better in warm and sour kefir. Therefore, we take it out in advance and dissolve soda in it.

Then add salt and flour to these liquid ingredients. Whisk with a whisk, breaking up any lumps that form.

The dough turns out smooth, viscous, like... This is what is important to us. Let's leave it aside for now so that the gluten swells. Then our crust will be denser and will hold the filling.

Now hard boil two eggs. Then we cool them and cut them.

Let's prepare the canned food, remove the bones, if you think there is a lot of oil in the jar, then drain it. Mash the meat itself with a fork into porridge. Add egg pieces to it. The only thing we're missing is onions.

Without delay, chop it finely and add it to the fish. At this stage, you can add salt and pepper to the filling.

Now let's take out the form. To ensure that our cake easily jumps out of the mold onto the dish, grease the bottom and sides of the baking sheet with oil. If you use butter, the sides of the baked goods will be crispier.

Now divide the dough into two parts. First we make the first layer, filling the bottom with it. Then we spread the filling so that it does not reach the edges of the dough by about 1 cm. And a layer of the remaining half of the dough goes on top of it.

Let the oven heat up.

Then we put our form in it and set the heat to 180 degrees. And the timer is for 25-30 minutes.

Check the readiness of the dough. Pierce the center with a wooden skewer or knife. You can also use a toothpick for this purpose. If there is no dough left on it, then the baked goods can be taken out.

A simple and quick sour cream pie in a slow cooker

This version of the pie is very convenient to make in a slow cooker. She bakes it perfectly.

We will make the dough with sour cream. It turns out a little fattier than with kefir. But the pie turns out more satisfying and crispy.

Let's take:

  • 4 eggs,
  • 1 tsp granulated sugar,
  • 1 tsp salt,
  • 200 g flour,
  • 100 g sour cream,
  • 8 g baking powder,
  • 0.5 tsp sweet paprika,
  • 500 g saury without oil,
  • 100 g of onion.

Let's start the cooking process with the filling.

Finely chop the onion. Separately, place the canned food in a plate and mash it with a fork. If you come across large bones, remove them.

Mix onion with fish.

Now let's quickly prepare the dough. Therefore, mix 4 eggs with a teaspoon of sugar and the same amount of salt. Beat with a mixer for about 4 minutes. You will get plenty of foam.

Separately, add baking powder to the flour.

Place sour cream into the egg mixture. Add flour and baking powder. We combine all the products using a whisk or mixer, breaking up all the lumps along the way.

The consistency turned out to be like sour cream. The multicooker bowl should be greased with butter. Then place most of the dough on the bottom. Distribute it along the bottom and make a layer of filling, retreating slightly from the edge. This is necessary so that the cake does not fall apart when we take it out. Make the top layer of dough.

Set the “Baking” mode for 50-60 minutes.

The multicooker will beep when the program time has ended.

Delicious jellied pie with canned food and potatoes

I think that the combination of saury with potatoes is an excellent filling for any pie. The important thing here is to cook the potatoes ahead of time first. After all, it takes longer to cook than canned food, and may not bake through. In this recipe we will fry it, but you can stew or boil it.

Let's take:

  • kefir – 450 ml,
  • 2 eggs,
  • salt – 1 tsp,
  • a pinch of sugar
  • 4 tsp odorless vegetable oil,
  • soda slaked with vinegar - 0.5 tsp,
  • flour – 500 g,
  • 5 potatoes,
  • 1 onion,
  • jar of saury – 200-280 g.

Let's start with the filling. Cut the onion into cubes. Shred the potatoes. Fry them in a frying pan until half cooked. This is approximately 8-10 minutes.

I prefer to cook this pie also with saury. That's why we always buy it.
Chop the saury with a fork and mix with the potatoes.

Quickly knead the dough. Add soda slaked with vinegar, salt and sugar to warm kefir. Pour in a little odorless vegetable oil. Beat in the eggs and sift the flour into the dough.

Okay, let's connect everything.

Grease the bottom and sides of the pan with butter. Pour half of the dough onto the bottom, which is filled with filling.

We try not to reach the edge so that we get a solid crust along the cuts. There is another layer of dough on top.

By the way, if your mold is less than 26 cm in diameter, you can make two pies. There is quite a lot of dough.

Place the mold in a hot oven for 50 minutes at 200 degrees.

But a wonderful woman clearly shows how to cook a pie with potatoes.

Dough recipe with sour cream and mayonnaise

To make the crust crispy, add a little more fat to the sour cream. Mayonnaise will serve as it.

Let's take:

  • 3 eggs,
  • 350 g sour cream,
  • 100 g mayonnaise,
  • 1.5-2 tbsp. flour,
  • 1 tsp salt,
  • 1 tbsp. l sugar,
  • 2.5 tsp baking powder,
  • 10 g butter,
  • 500 g canned fish,
  • green onions.

Let's start preparing the dough right away. Pour salt and sugar into the eggs. Beat with a mixer until a small foam forms. Then add sour cream and mayonnaise.

Separately, add baking powder to the flour and sift this mixture into the liquid ingredients. Using a mixer, combine all the products and get a fairly liquid dough.

Let's move on to filling. To do this, mash the canned food with a fork. Separately chop the greens.

Grease the baking dish with butter. Pour some of the dough into the bottom. Then comes a layer of canned food, on which we spread the greens.

And we, in turn, fill it with the second half of the dough.

Bake for 35-40 minutes at 180 degrees. If desired, decorate with sesame seeds.

It turns out very tasty.

How to cook fish jellied pie with cabbage

I think the combination of cabbage and canned food is quite unusual. When I was treated to it for the first time, I was very surprised that these two products could complement each other and act as a filling.

Let's take:

  • flour - 6 tbsp,
  • sour cream 20% - 5 tbsp.,
  • salt - 1 tsp,
  • sugar - 1 tsp,
  • baking powder - 10 g,
  • eggs - 2 pcs.,
  • mackerel or saury,
  • 0.5 heads of cabbage.

Cabbage takes the longest to prepare from these ingredients, so fry it in advance. If you wish, you can simply put it out.

Finely chop half the head of cabbage and add salt. Lightly knead the pieces with your hands to make them softer.

Then fry in butter until soft, about 7 minutes. Let the excess fat drip off. Now open the can and mash the saury with a fork. Mix both ready-made ingredients and our filling is ready.

For the dough, add salt and sugar to the sour cream. Sift the flour and beat in the eggs. Beat everything with a whisk until smooth, homogeneous consistency. For splendor, add baking powder.

We put the oven on to heat up, and we ourselves will take care of the form. Grease its bottom and sides with oil and pour in some of the dough. Which goes for the filling.

All that remains is to make a layer of the remaining dough.

Level the surface with a spatula or wet spoon and bake at 180 degrees for 25-30 minutes.

How to make jellied pie with canned fish

By the name of this type of baking, you can already guess that the dough here is meant to be liquid, which is used to pour the filling. For a pie with canned food, you can make the dough with sour cream, kefir, and mayonnaise. You can mix the liquid ingredients in equal parts, you can add melted butter or margarine. You can generally make a thin yeast dough, the cake will turn out soft and airy, but you will have to tinker.

There is also a wide variety of fillings; fortunately, we always have a large selection of canned fish. But here you need to know which manufacturers to choose. Yes, yes, I once ruined a pie by putting saury in it, which was prepared somewhere in the Moscow region. Most likely, the raw materials for the canned food were frozen and preparation standards were not followed.

When purchasing such products, always make sure that the manufacturer must be from an area located in the coastal zone. It’s better if the canned food is made on a floating base, then they will definitely be tasty.

As an additive to fish, we use potatoes, and in different types, cereals, mainly buckwheat or rice. In addition to potatoes, other vegetables are also used in the filling.

Recipe for jellied pie with canned fish and potatoes

In this recipe, potatoes are placed raw, but if you know how to cook potato pie, then try making the filling with it, it will taste extraordinary.

For the pie we need to take:

  • A glass of kefir
  • 0.5 cups sunflower oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups of flour
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • A quarter teaspoon each of soda and salt
  • A jar of saury in oil
  • 3 large potatoes
  • Medium bulb
  • Pepper

Cooking process:

Pour the kefir into a convenient wide bowl to knead there, add soda and salt, drop in the oil and add flour while stirring. I immediately sift it straight into the bowl. Knead the dough and leave it to stand for the baking soda to start working.

In the meantime, let's get to the filling. Salt the excess liquid from the canned fish and mash it with a fork so that there are no large pieces.

For this filling you need to cut the onion finely into cubes. I tried grating the potatoes, but it works better when they feel like sticks in the pie. Here, do it at your own discretion, you can cut it with plastics.

For the pie I use a round pan, which I cover with baking paper, but you can coat it with butter and sprinkle with breadcrumbs. Pour one half of the dough onto the bottom in an even layer, place the fish on it, then the onion, and then lightly pepper the potatoes on top. Then pour in the rest of the dough and set to bake. For complete readiness, half an hour at 200 degrees is usually enough, but you need to check.

Pie with canned mayonnaise

When a bag of mayonnaise disappears from your refrigerator out of despair, you can safely add it to the dough. It may be a little high in calories, but it’s tasty and, in the end, the food won’t go to waste.

We will take:

  • 500 grams of any mayonnaise

  • 3 eggs
  • A teaspoon instead of soda
  • A jar of canned saury in oil
  • Small onion
  • 3 large potatoes

Cooking process:

Jellied fish pie with mayonnaise is quick and easy to make. I always mix the dough with a mixer, it is not very thick, so it won’t take much time. In a mixer mug I break the eggs with soda, squeeze out a packet of mayonnaise into it and sift the flour. Five minutes and the dough is ready.

I open the jar of fish and pour out the liquid, crushing the saury itself with a fork. I cut the onion into half rings, and grate the potatoes on a special grater, making the cubes like french fries.

We take a baking sheet, calculate the products for a medium size, coat it with any fat, you can simply cover it with parchment. First fill the “bottom” of the pie - the first half of the dough. Then we lay out layers of saury, onions and potatoes, you can add spices to taste, for example, pepper. Fill with the second part of the dough and bake for half an hour.

Jellied pie with canned sour cream

This pie will turn out with a shiny golden brown crust; if you are not on a diet, you can use thicker sour cream, and if you are counting calories, you can dilute it with kefir.

We use:

  • Glass of sour cream
  • A glass of sifted flour
  • 3 chicken eggs
  • 0.5 teaspoon quicklime soda
  • 2 cans of natural horse mackerel or sardine
  • Medium bulb
  • 3 potatoes
  • Salt, seasonings

Cooking process:

Place sour cream in a wide bowl, add salt and soda, stir. Separately, break the eggs and pour them into the sour cream, after which we begin to slowly introduce flour so that there are no lumps. The dough must stand so that the process of extinguishing the soda goes through completely.

Open the cans of fish, get rid of the liquid and shake out the pieces of fish onto a plate, using a fork to mash them into small pieces. Cut the onion into small cubes. Potatoes are tastier cut into slices or cubes.

It is not necessary to grease the mold if the sour cream is oily, but you can cover it with parchment. Pour half the batter for the bottom of the pie. We lay fish, onions and potatoes on it in layers, you can add spices. Fill the top part and set to bake for 20-30 minutes.
