Chocolate oatmeal. Chocolate oatmeal from Jamie Oliver German oatmeal with cocoa

With non-boring oatmeal (which is not really porridge, but something between porridge and dessert), high performance and excellent mood are guaranteed for several hours.

Serves 2. Cooking time is about 50 minutes.

Ingredients

  • oat flakes - 70 grams
  • cocoa - 3-4 tbsp. spoons (for a very rich chocolate taste)
  • milk - 150 ml
  • vanillin - to your taste
  • egg - 1
  • sugar - 2 tbsp. spoons (moderately sweet)

Preparation

    Mix cocoa and milk in a bowl.

    Take warm (not hot!) milk so that the cocoa dissolves better and add it little by little, stirring until completely dissolved.

    Add oatmeal and stir. Leave them to swell for 15-20 minutes.

    Beat the egg and sugar until creamy. Taste it, if it’s not sweet for you, add a little more sugar.

    Add the beaten egg to the oatmeal-chocolate mixture. Stir gently.

    Grease the baking dish with oil, preferably butter. Pour the future porridge into it and distribute it throughout the mold.

    Cook in the oven preheated to 180 degrees for 20-25 minutes.

    Of course, you need to serve it right away. For breakfast. With milk.

ON A NOTE

Use instant cereal so it has time to soften.

It is very convenient to make such porridge in portioned pots, so that everyone gets their own separate pot of chocolate porridge. Beautiful!

Do not overcook the porridge in the oven, it will become too dry.

P.S. Now decide for yourself what you have prepared: porridge or dessert?

Oatmeal is very often prepared for breakfast, as it is healthy and nutritious. But children cannot always be forced to eat regular food. You can add various fruits or dried fruits to oatmeal and then children become more receptive to it. And if you add regular cocoa to oatmeal, you can get real chocolate porridge that your kids will appreciate. Chocolate oatmeal with banana is a great breakfast for children and adults.

Ingredients:
oatmeal - 1 cup

sugar - 2 tbsp.
cocoa - 1 tbsp.
butter - to taste
banana - 1 pc.

Chocolate oatmeal with banana, recipe:

Prepare all the ingredients to make delicious chocolate banana oatmeal.

Pour milk into a saucepan, add oatmeal.

It is better to use small oat flakes; they cook faster. But never buy instant oatmeal and give it to your children.

The amount of oatmeal can be adjusted at your discretion; if you like thick porridge, add more; if it is thin, add less oatmeal.

When the milk boils, add sugar and cocoa powder. You can prepare oatmeal either with whole milk or by diluting it with water. And you can cook it only with water, if you do not add butter, you will get a lean recipe.

Stir the porridge with cocoa so that there are no lumps.

Stir the porridge and cook for another 3 minutes. Add butter to taste to the prepared oatmeal with cocoa.

Peel the banana and cut it into slices.

Divide the chocolate oatmeal into bowls and place banana slices on top. Banana can be added to the porridge during cooking, depending on your preference.

Bon appetit!

An interesting combination – like a drink, but with oatmeal. I would even call it chocolate oatmeal soup for kids. I think they will definitely like this mixture. The drink is very nutritious and tasty. You can add more milk at the end if you want a thinner cocoa. By the way, cocoa can be easily replaced with carob, as in other recipes. For example, in .

Quantity– 300 ml.

Cooking time- 15 minutes.

Ingredients for the drink:

  • 300 ml milk + 100-150 ml;
  • 100 ml boiling water;
  • 40 g oatmeal;
  • 2 tbsp. Sahara;
  • 2 tbsp. cocoa (carob);
  • 1/2 tsp each cinnamon and nutmeg.

Pour 70 ml of boiling water into the cereal, and 30 ml into the cocoa. Cover the oatmeal with a plate and let it swell. Mix the cocoa well with a whisk.

Then puree the oatmeal using a blender.

Place milk (300 ml) on the fire, bring to a boil, add sugar and spices. And then pour in the oatmeal. Mix well.

Stirring, cook until the mixture begins to thicken – 7-10 minutes. Then pour in cocoa. Mix well, let it boil and remove from heat. Now this mass needs to be rubbed through a sieve so that there are no large oat flakes. You can add more milk to the resulting mixture if it is very thick, pour into glasses and decorate with chocolate.

German oatmeal

Chocolate oatmeal with spices and berries in German style.

A delicious instant oatmeal dish.

Oatmeal porridge as a dessert.

A simple step-by-step recipe with photos and calorie calculations.

Another recipe from German relatives. I’m far from a fan of oatmeal, but I’m hooked on the German version. Delicious. Perfect for when you want something sweet.

The calorie content of a serving is quite large, but compared to baked goods or sweets it is still less.

The Germans add cocoa not only to porridge, but also to cottage cheese. Also a good option for a quick homemade dessert.

By the way, in my opinion, the most successful German recipe for oatmeal cookies.

German-style oatmeal with cocoa

Ingredients:

per serving

  1. Soft small oat flakes – 100 ml – 45 g
  2. Milk – 200 ml
  3. Sugar – 2 teaspoons – 12 g
  4. Cocoa – 1.5–2 teaspoons
  5. Salt - a pinch
  6. Vanilla sugar – 1 teaspoon
  7. Water – about 1 tablespoon

Additionally:

Dried berries – 10 g

Per serving with dried berries: 230 g, 348 kcal

Calorie calculation below the recipe.

Preparation:

1. Pour about a tablespoon of cold water into a cup of cocoa powder, add sugar and vanilla sugar. Stir so that there are no lumps.

You can replace vanilla sugar with cinnamon sugar.

2. Bring a glass of milk to a boil.

3. Add cocoa and sugar to the milk. Mix.

4. Bring to a boil. You will get cocoa.

5. Pour oatmeal and salt into cocoa. Mix.

6. Cook over low heat until thick. It won't take more than a minute.

The porridge will be a little liquid, but you can turn it off and close the lid. If you cook for a long time, it may burn and a lot of liquid will boil away.

Soft small oat flakes do not need to be cooked at all. Pour them into boiling cocoa, stir, bring to a boil, turn off the heat, cover with a lid. They'll get there on their own. Or you can immediately put it on a plate. While it cools, it will thicken.

7. Serve with raisins, fresh, frozen or dried berries, or any fruit. You can add nuts or seeds. You can sprinkle with colored sugar or grated chocolate. You can top it with condensed milk or cherry, currant or citrus jam.

Ingredients:

  • 0.5 tbsp. oatmeal;
  • 0.5 tbsp. coconut milk (can be almond, poppy seed) or regular milk;
  • 0.5 tbsp. water;
  • 1 ripe banana;
  • nuts to taste;
  • 1 tbsp. l. cocoa powder;
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract or to taste;

Preparation:

  1. In a small saucepan, combine water and milk, let the water boil, and then add the oatmeal. Cook according to the instructions on the package or as you usually prepare sweet porridge.
  2. Meanwhile, mash half a banana along with cocoa powder and vanilla extract. In 1-2 minutes. Before the oatmeal is ready, when it boils and thickens, add banana and cocoa and mix thoroughly. The porridge should be a rich chocolate color.
  3. The cocoa mixture with banana does not have to be boiled; you can mix all the ingredients and remove the finished porridge from the stove. This way there will be more benefits from fresh fruit. But the porridge will be less sweet.
All that remains is to decorate the chocolate porridge with banana slices, nuts, topping or jam to taste.

On the water

Many people prefer to cook with water; in this case, cook exactly the same according to the first recipe, but replace the milk with an additional 0.5 tbsp. water. The result will be a dietary porridge.
