Make a simple jam pie in a slow cooker. Grated pie in a slow cooker. How to cook a pie with jam in a slow cooker

The simplest and most delicious pie with jam in a slow cooker is the one prepared according to the bulk principle. The combination of a delicate sand base that literally melts in your mouth and a simple filling made from any jam with a slight sourness is simply impossible to resist! It’s especially nice that the shortbread pie recipe is not only simple and tasty, but also very budget-friendly. Butter (or margarine), eggs, sugar, flour and a jar of jam - such a set of products will probably be found in every home. I love making this pie in the spring to recycle unused jam.

Ingredients

  • butter (or creamy margarine) – 100 g;
  • egg – 2 pcs.;
  • sugar – 0.5 tbsp;
  • flour – 450-500 g;
  • baking powder - 1 tbsp. l.;
  • salt - a pinch;
  • vanillin – 0.5 sachet;
  • jam (thick and sour) – 0.7-1 tbsp.

Preparation

First of all, take the butter out of the refrigerator, chop it into smaller pieces and leave it on the table for 30 minutes - the butter should become soft enough that you will not have problems introducing it into the dough.

Now take a convenient bowl, break eggs into it, add sugar to them.

Following the sugar, add salt to the future dough and flavor it with vanilla. Next, it is advisable to arm yourself with a mixer or blender - with their help, turning eggs and sugar into a fluffy, homogeneous mixture will be faster and easier. Beat the mixture until white.

Then add pieces of soft butter into the egg-sugar mixture and beat the mixture again with a mixer or blender. You will get an airy, creamy mass.

It remains to introduce the last ingredients into the dough - flour and baking powder. First, mix them together, then sift them into the egg-oil mixture. Add the dough in parts, 0.5-1 tbsp. Here the mixer is no longer an assistant for us. Take a regular fork and stir in the flour.

Usually a fork can easily handle 1.5 tbsp. flour. And when it becomes difficult to knead the dough with it, start working with your hands. You need to mix in the flour until you get a very soft dough ball. The dough contains quite a lot of oil, so it should not stick to your hands at all.

Wrap the dough in cling film or a plastic bag and put it in the freezer for 30 minutes. When the dough freezes a little, take it out and cut it into two unequal parts: the larger part (about 2/3) will be the base of the pie, the smaller part (the remaining 1/3) will be the top topping.

Now we take a multicooker cup and distribute most of the dough along the bottom and 2-3 cm on the sides, forming a base with sides. The smaller the volume of the multi-pan, the thicker the base layer will be. But this is not scary at all - the dough here is very tender, crumbly and tasty. As an option, those with small multi-pans can form two pies instead of one.

Spread the jam onto the laid out base. Distribute it evenly. The thicker the jam, the better. Grate the remaining piece of dough on a coarse grater, and generously sprinkle a layer of jam with the resulting crumbs.

That's it, the formed cake can be baked. Turn on the multi in the “Baking” mode and set the timer for 120 minutes. and wait. After the signal, we check the readiness of the pie: if the sides have darkened and the top has firmly set, the pie is ready. When baking, the pie increases in size by 1.5-2 times.

Do not rush to remove the finished pie with jam from the multicooker. The dough is very tender, the hot jam filling is liquid - your pie may simply fall apart. Take out the multi-pot with the pie and wait 10-15 minutes. - and the pie can be taken out, now it will not crumble.

But it is better to cut the pie into pieces after it has cooled completely, since the filling may leak out.

Serve the pie with tea or milk. Bon appetit!

During the winter cold, we want to please ourselves and our loved ones with something tasty and not burdensome to prepare. The best solution is a quick and simple jam pie in a slow cooker.

Simple desserts: grated pie with raspberry jam in a slow cooker

It’s no secret that a multicooker is suitable not only for preparing meat dishes, casseroles and side dishes; baking in this device also turns out to be very decent.

Moreover, the recipes that can be implemented in a slow cooker are limited only by the cook’s imagination. This technique can cope with tall and airy sponge cake, fruit charlotte and any pie. By the way, pies are a separate section.

Recipes for pies and pies are very diverse: yeast, shortbread, sour cream, aspic; and the fillings can be either dessert (jams, jams, fruits and berries) or hearty (meat, mushrooms, vegetables).

We will definitely return to baking with meat and vegetable fillings, but for now we’ll figure out how to cook a pie with jam in a slow cooker.

Despite the simplicity of the filling, such recipes are very popular. Of course, in summer or autumn we bake more pies with seasonal fruits: apples, pears, plums.

This pastry has a juicy texture and rich aroma. But what to do when it’s winter outside and you want to try something sweet? In this case, jam is simply irreplaceable.

Sweet, thick, with slices of fruit or whole berries, it reminds you of summer. By the way, not every jam is suitable for filling.

Recipes from experienced housewives insist that the jam must have a thick consistency: the product with liquid syrup will spread and “run away”.

Therefore, as a filler, the choice most often falls on currant or raspberry jam - the boiled syrup in these products is quite dense. With this wonderful product we are going to create our dish - grated pie in a slow cooker.

This type of baking is known to everyone whose childhood was in the Soviet or post-Soviet period. Recipes for grated pies are quite simple, the list of ingredients is limited to the simplest products (flour, eggs, sugar, margarine and jam itself).

All these components were always at hand, and even a child could handle the cooking process, so desserts based on grated dough regularly appeared on the table at that time.

Today, there are no longer any scarce products, and modern housewives have access to recipes with the most unusual products.

Let us at least remember how many varieties of flour are now on sale; and you can use fruits as a filling all year round, including those that our mothers and grandmothers had no idea about. However, grated pie with jam is the taste of childhood, a cozy evening and a warm family atmosphere.

Our jam pie in a slow cooker is a variation with raspberry jam. But this is not a strict prescription for action. Do you have a jar of apple jam or currant jam?

Wonderful, the filling will turn out wonderful. Now a few words about other ingredients, and more specifically about margarine. In those “good old” times, margarine was considered simply an irreplaceable component that was part of any shortbread (and not only) dough.

The finished baked goods turned out very tender and crumbly. Today's recipes advise replacing margarine with butter: the composition of modern margarine does not inspire confidence.

Therefore, if you want a pie with raspberry jam in a slow cooker to be not only tasty and sweet, but also harmless to health, it is better to leave the margarine.

Step 1

Break the eggs, separate the yolks from the whites. Set aside the whites. Grind the yolks with sugar to a homogeneous pale substance, add softened butter.

Sift flour and baking powder into a bowl and knead the dough. The dough should be elastic enough and not stick to your hands.

Depending on the properties of the flour, you may need more. Adjust this indicator yourself.

The main requirement is that the dough must be dense enough so that it can be easily grated.

Step 2

Grease the multicooker bowl (both bottom and walls) with butter. Divide the dough into two unequal parts. The larger part is for forming the base of the pie, the smaller part is for sprinkling the top.

We chose the second option (most of the crumbs were placed in a bowl as a base): the grated dough is crispier and airier when finished.

If the dough is very soft, it will be difficult to rub. Place the lump of dough in the freezer for half an hour, after which you can easily grate it.

Step 3

Spread jam over crumbs.

Do you remember you had some whites left? If you don't plan on baking meringues in the near future, you can recycle the egg whites by using them as an extra pie filling.

So, many recipes add a layer of curd to the jam filling. 200 g of cottage cheese should be mixed with two tablespoons of sugar and the remaining whites (the whites are not whipped).

The resulting mass is laid out on top of the jam. However, we refrained from such a step, since we planned to implement the classic version of grated pie.

Step 4

Turn the second (smaller) half of the dough into crumbs and add the filling.

Step 5

A pie with jam in a multicooker will be baked in the appropriate mode - “Baking” - for an hour. The top of the finished product acquires a pleasant golden color, and the edges are slightly browned.

After the cooking signal, leave the cake in the multicooker for another ten minutes: during this time, excess steam will be released and the baked goods can be easily removed.

At the last stage, use the steaming basket. Leave the cake in the steamer until it cools completely.

These classic recipes can be adjusted to suit your needs and eating habits. For example, in some families it was customary to add crushed walnuts to the jam filling: crumbly shortbread dough goes well with nuts.

If you plan to bake a grated pie not with jam, but with fresh apples, then you will probably need raisins and a pinch of cinnamon.

Currant jam goes well with cocoa or chocolate chips, cherry jam goes well with chopped almonds.

As you can see, there are a lot of options, so it makes sense to try new combinations and treat your family to the same pastries that you remember from childhood.
