  • expensive margarine - 135 g;

  • sugar – 150 g;
  • salt.

Step-by-step cooking method:

Stage 1 – preparing the base. I melt the margarine on gas in a container suitable for further mixing. Then I alternately add sugar and a large egg. I mix everything, then add water, add a little salt and, stirring constantly, add flour.

When the dough has thickened, I place it on the kitchen surface and knead until the required compaction occurs. I divide the finished lump into 2 parts and put it in the refrigerator for 15 minutes. Then I put the parts one on top of the other. I roll them out so that there is enough sheet to lay on the bottom of the mold and cover the top.

Stage 2 – prepare the filling. I wash the sour apples, peel them from seeds and cut them into not very thick slices. I sprinkle them with sugar and cinnamon.

I choose baking dishes with high sides, since when placing the dough in it, we form the sides at least 4 cm. Additional cooling of the base already placed in the mold helps me make shortcrust pastry even more tasty. To do this, I wrap them in cling film and refrigerate them for another 20-30 minutes.

While the dough is simmering, I prepare the filling. Using a mixer, thoroughly beat the sour cream with eggs, flour, sugar and vanilla. I cut the washed apples in half and remove the cores. Then I cut it into thin slices. I generally don't peel the fruit, but if it's very thick or damaged, it's best to get rid of it.

After half an hour, carefully place the slices in a circle in a cooled form with dough. I pour sour cream on top and put it in an oven preheated to 180C for about an hour. The time depends on the oven; after 40 minutes you should check to see if it’s done.

The pie, prepared according to Marina Tsvetaeva’s recipe, is served and cut completely cold, otherwise its unique filling will leak out. The pie should be stored in the refrigerator, although given how delicious it is, it is unlikely that it will survive that long!

    When the time is up, I take out the pie and sprinkle chopped nuts on top. Then I put it back in the oven for another 10 minutes.

    Important! Under no circumstances should we remove hot baked goods from the pan immediately after cooking. Leave it in the mold until it cools completely.
