  • Korean carrots – 100g (or 1 fresh carrot + 1 onion + spices);
  • canned corn – 3-4 tbsp;
  • eggs – 2 pcs;
  • potatoes – 1 piece;
  • sunflower oil –100ml;

How to prepare “Sail” salad

  1. Of course, you can buy Korean carrots ready-made. However, I don’t really trust semi-finished products (or rather, I don’t trust them at all), so I prefer to make it myself, especially since it’s not difficult to prepare. To do this, grate the carrots into strips. Place in a cup, add 1/4 tsp. salt and press lightly with your hands. This is necessary to make the carrots softer.
  2. Chop the onion finely.
  3. Pour oil into the pan, leaving 2 tbsp. for potatoes. Heat and fry the onion. Fry it well until brown. We won’t need it later; we need it to give all its taste to the oil.

  4. Add 0.5 tsp to the carrots. spices from the set “for Korean carrots”. Pour hot oil through a strainer. This will keep the onions in the sieve, and the oil will scald the carrots. Now it needs to be cooled. During cooling, the carrots will be saturated and can be used for our purposes.
  5. Let's move on to making potato strips (if you have chips, skip this step). Peel the potatoes and grate them on the same grater as the carrots to get sticks.
  6. Then rinse under running water to remove excess starch.
  7. Place on paper towels and dry.
  8. Pour the remaining oil into the frying pan. Heat it up and add straws. Stirring frequently to prevent sticking, fry until crispy.

For this recipe, it is better to take canned pineapple, cut into slices. In this case, it will be easier to strain it from the syrup. For this recipe, you can use any hard cheese, as long as its fat content is at least 40%. Grate the cheese on a coarse grater, place it in a layer in a salad bowl, coat with mayonnaise. Now comes the chicken layer. To do this, separate the meat from the bones, finely chop it and place it on top of the cheese, and then grease it again with mayonnaise. Peel the hard-boiled egg, then cut into small cubes or three on a coarse grater and spread in a thick layer. Now add a layer of coarsely grated carrots, then potatoes.
