  • 1 tbsp. flour (about 130 g);
  • 100 g butter (i.e. half a stick);
  • 1 tbsp. Sahara.

Decoration:

  • 50 g chocolate (half a bar);
  • 1-2 tbsp. butter;
  • Nuts;
  • Confectionery sprinkles.

Prepare the shortbread dough: sift the flour into a bowl, add sugar and softened butter, cut into pieces.

Grind the ingredients with your hands. First you will get crumbs. Continue kneading the dough and the crumbs will stick together into one lump. If the dough crumbles, add a little soft butter. If, on the contrary, it sticks to your hands, add a little flour. The finished dough is soft, does not crumble, but does not stick. Place the dough in the refrigerator for 15 minutes. In the meantime, you can crack and peel the nuts for decoration. It will be delicious with any: walnuts, almonds, hazelnuts or cashews.

After taking the dough out of the refrigerator, lightly sprinkle the counter and baking sheet with flour. Roll out the dough into a cake from 0.5 to 1 cm thick. Thin cookies bake faster and turn out crispier, while thicker ones will take a little longer to bake, but will be more crumbly.

We cut out cookies from the dough with a heart-shaped cutter and carefully, since the cookies are very delicate, transfer them to a baking sheet. While you are making cookies, turn on the oven and let it warm up to 200C.

At this point, you can sprinkle the cookies with cinnamon sugar or vanilla if you don't want to make a chocolate frosting. You need to mix 1.5-2 tbsp in a saucer. sugar and ¼ tsp. cinnamon (or 1 tsp vanilla sugar), or sugar with chopped nuts, sprinkle each cookie and lightly press the sprinkles with your finger so as not to crumble. If you glaze cookies with chocolate, bake them just like that.

Bake cookies at 200-210C for 20-25 minutes, taking into account the characteristics of your oven. The cookies should become dry, crumbly and slightly golden, but remain light in color. If the cookies are brown, it means they were overbaked a little. But that’s okay, now we’ll prepare the icing and sprinkles for decoration!

Break the chocolate into pieces and place in a water bath. When it melts, add a piece of soft butter (15-25g) and mix. The butter will melt to create a smooth chocolate frosting. Dip the cooled cookies into it with the top side - or apply the glaze with a teaspoon.

If the glaze is too thick, add a little more butter into the chocolate; if liquid, you can bring it to the desired consistency by adding cocoa powder.

Before the icing has time to harden, sprinkle the “Hearts” cookies for Valentine’s Day with chopped nuts and colored confectionery sprinkles. To make the glaze harden faster, place the cookies in the refrigerator. And when the decoration “sets”, carefully transfer the heart cookies to a plate.

We will roll out the dough using this interesting method - between two sheets of parchment paper. Since the dough is very tender, we don’t need extra flour at all. Roll out the dough to a thickness of 4-5 mm. This is the thickness that will allow the cookies to remain soft and not too thick.

Remove the top parchment. We take a mold in the shape of a large heart and begin to form our sweet valentines right on the sheet. Let's put the dough that remains into action again: gather it into a ball, roll it out and make a few more hearts.

Now take a smaller heart shape and cut out things like this. At the same time, we also form a bunch of small hearts.

Place the dough in a hot oven at 180 degrees. For 7-10 minutes, but you need to monitor readiness - the cookies should remain soft, not overdried, and light.

Sprinkle our hearts with a recess with powdered sugar.

Place a spoonful of thick jam on whole large heart-cookies - in the very middle. Glue the top part sprinkled with powder on top. For the glaze:

First, we prepare all the necessary products.

Add sugar to the yolk and whisk well. The sugar should completely dissolve in the yolk.

Then add slightly warmed honey and add vanillin. Mix.

Also add room temperature butter. Mix everything well until smooth.

Now add baking powder and sifted wheat flour.

Knead a soft, elastic, tender dough. If there is not enough flour, you can add a little more; the cookie dough should not be liquid.

Roll it into a ball, wrap it in cling film, or simply put the bag in and put it in the refrigerator for half an hour.

Valentine cookies for Valentine's Day should be bright, colorful, and beautiful. Glaze will help us decorate our baked goods the way we want them. To prepare it, take 150 grams of powdered sugar and egg white.

  • Chicken eggs 6 pcs.
  • Margarine for baking 125 gr.
  • Sugar 125 gr.
  • Vanillin 1 sachet
  • Milk (3.5%) 250 ml.
  • Baking powder to taste

Cookies can be made soft or crispy, it all depends on how long you bake them in the waffle iron. But before you start preparing them, you need to knead the dough. In its consistency it should resemble liquid sour cream.

So, we separate the whites of the eggs from the yolks. In a shallow bowl, grind randomly chopped margarine with sugar and vanilla using a fork, then take a mixer and beat the mass into a fluffy foam. Then, without ceasing to beat, add one yolk to the bowl.

Next, pour in the milk, beating with a mixer at low speed.

In another bowl, mix the flour with baking powder, and begin to gradually pour into the butter-milk mixture, continuing to whisk. And the final touch: beat the whites into a foam and carefully fold them into the dough, after which we let it brew within half an hour in a warm place.

Plug in the waffle iron and heat it to medium temperature. Then put about two tablespoons of dough into it and distribute it evenly over the surface. Close and hold for about 40-60 seconds. This will give us soft cookies.

Then carefully remove the finished cookies using a fork or spatula and let them cool.

Recipe 5: heart-shaped cookies on gas

  • chicken eggs - 4-5 pcs;
  • margarine for baking - 100 g;
  • vanilla sugar - a bag;
  • granulated sugar - 1 cup;
  • salt - a pinch;
  • baking soda - 1 teaspoon;
  • wheat flour - 8-9 tbsp. spoons

We take a bowl in which we will knead the dough, break 4-5 eggs.

Add a packet of vanilla sugar, as little as possible.

Melt a pack of margarine in the microwave or on the stove, I didn’t have a full pack of margarine, so I melted as much as I had and pour it into the eggs too.

Then beat everything with a mixer at first speed. Just beat until smooth, so that everything is mixed and dissolved (sugar, soda).

Now add two tablespoons of flour to the contents and beat at first speed.

About 8-9 tablespoons are enough for the dough; the dough should not be liquid but also very thick.

It should come away from the spoon slowly (make the dough thicker than for shortbread). Now that the dough is ready, turn on the stove, grease the mold on both sides with vegetable oil, put it on the fire and heat it up.

After the mold has heated up on both sides, we begin to fry our cookies, pour out an incomplete ladle of dough, approximately this amount

and close the mold, leave it for literally 1-2 minutes, turn the mold over and check whether it is baked or not.

Recipe 6, step by step: homemade Heart cookies

Today I want to offer a simple baking option that will fit perfectly on the festive table on February 14th. We will bake heart cookies, for which we will need special molds.

  • sour cream – about 200 g;
  • butter – 100 g;
  • sugar – 1 full glass;
  • dark chocolate – 50-100 g;
  • eggs – 1 pc.;
  • flour – 400-450 g;
  • vanillin – 1 sachet;
  • colored sugar pencils;
  • baking powder - 1.5 tbsp. spoons.

Let's get started. Beat one egg with sugar.

Mix softened (not melted) butter with sour cream and add to the egg-sugar mixture. Beat everything together with a whisk (or mixer).

Add flour mixed with baking powder and knead the dough. Add vanillin. The dough should not be too tight, so when adding flour gradually, be guided by its amount as you knead. Place it in the refrigerator for at least one hour.

When the dough has cooled a little, take it out and roll out a layer about 7-8 mm thick. We cut out our cookies using special heart-shaped shapes. I used fairly large molds (8 cm wide).

Grease a baking sheet with a thin layer of vegetable oil and place cookies on it. Place it in a preheated oven (180 degrees). Bake until it turns a nice light brown color.

Let the finished cookies cool and spread melted chocolate on their surface. You can make chocolate glaze by adding a little butter to the chocolate while heating (in a water bath). But, you need to take into account that it will not harden completely on the surface of the cookies.

You can decorate hearts in different ways. Let's say you apply chocolate to only one half of it, as in my photo.

You can write messages on the hearts, such as names or holiday wishes. As a last resort, just sprinkle them with powdered sugar! I used special colored sugar pencils to decorate the cookies.

Recipe 7: Holiday Cookies with Hearts

Homemade recipe for heart cookies in molds.

  • Flour 450 gr
  • Baking powder 2 teaspoon
  • Sugar 150 gr
  • Butter 220 gr
  • Chicken egg 1 pc.
  • Vanilla essence 1 teaspoon
  • Gel dye red 1.5 teaspoon

Mix all the ingredients except the dye into a soft dough. If it turns out sticky, add a little flour.

Separate a third of the dough and place it in a separate bowl. Add red dye to this part and mix until smooth.

Roll out the red dough into a layer about 5 mm wide, cut out small cookies with a small heart-shaped cookie cutter.

Stack the resulting hearts on top of each other.

Roll out the rest of the dough into thin, identical sausages. Wrap the resulting “tower” of hearts with white sausages around the entire circumference.

Wrap the pieces in cling film and place them in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours (preferably overnight).

Bake at 180 degrees in a preheated oven for about 10 minutes, no longer, the cookies should not darken.

These shortbread cookies are very fragile and delicate. The secret of its preparation is that it is cooked with yolks and cornstarch. You can use any thick confiture as a filling. By the way, these cookies are perfect as a valentine on Valentine's Day.

  • 290 g flour
  • 4 yolks
  • 130 g plums. butter (soft)
  • 100 g sugar
  • 50 g starch (preferably corn)
  • zest of one lemon
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 100 g confiture (I used cherry)

Grate the lemon zest on a fine grater. Grind the yolks with sugar until white. In another bowl, mix flour with starch, a pinch of salt and lemon zest. Then add egg yolks, butter and stir thoroughly.

Add egg yolks and butter. Knead a soft dough that does not stick to your hands, roll it into a ball and cover with cling film and place it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

Roll the dough into a ball. Then roll out the dough into a thin layer and use a notch or stencil to cut out hearts. Place about 5 tsp in the middle of half the hearts. confiture, then cover with another heart and press down the edges with a fork.

Recipe 10: Valentine cookies Hearts in glaze

You need a lot of ingredients for the dough, but they are all available. Plus, one serving makes quite a lot of cookies. One of the most important components is potato starch, which makes it possible to make baked goods more crumbly and tender. Everything is prepared quickly, in a hurry, and can be stored for a long time if not eaten immediately.

  • flour - 3 tbsp.
  • butter – 150 g
  • potato starch – 125 g
  • salt - a pinch.
  • soda – ½ tsp.
  • baking powder – ½ tsp.
  • sugar – 1 glass
  • milk – 2/3 cup
  • egg – 1 pc.
  • vanilla sugar – 1 sachet

for glaze:

  • powdered sugar - about 200 g
  • lemon juice
  • food coloring.

Butter should be at room temperature. Then it can be easily whipped. Place it in a bowl and beat with a mixer. But you can just mash it with a fork. Add sugar, vanilla sugar and grind (or beat) everything together until smooth.

Add one egg.

Mix thoroughly.

Sift the entire portion of flour into a separate bowl, add baking powder, soda, salt, and starch (sifted).

Pour half of the dry mixture into the butter mixture. Mix.

Pour in milk.

And add the rest of the dry mixture.

Knead the dough and form a ball. We wrap it in film. Place in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours or in the freezer for 30-40 minutes.

Take out the chilled dough and roll it out into a layer 0.3-0.5 cm thick. Please note that the cookies will grow well in the oven. Therefore, we make it thinner. Squeeze out the hearts using molds.

Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment. Place in a preheated oven. Bake cookies at home at 180 degrees for about 15 minutes.

Take the rosy hearts out of the oven. Let them cool. And we send off the next batch to bake. I made almost four batches from one batch of dough.

Let's prepare the icing for the cookies. Sift the powdered sugar into a deep plate. Pour 3-4 tbsp into a separate cup. lemon juice or citric acid diluted in water. There's food coloring in there too. And gradually mix.

You need to add liquid until you get the consistency of liquid sour cream. Here it is important to catch the moment so that the glaze is not thick, but not too liquid.

We cover our homemade heart cookies with the resulting fondant and let them dry on parchment or on a wire rack. Excess glaze may drip off. If desired, you can decorate the cookies with sprinkles by sprinkling them onto the icing that has not yet hardened.

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

For filling:

  • plum jam or other favorite
  1. Quickly prepare the dough with all the ingredients (the ingredients can also be mixed in a food processor).
  2. Form the dough into a patty, wrap in film and place in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
  3. Roll out the cold dough to about 2mm thick (lightly flour your worktop while rolling) and cut out the biscuits with a cookie cutter.
  4. Cut out a heart-shaped hole on the inside of half the cookies.
  5. Prepare a baking tray and line it with baking paper.
  6. Place cookies on it and bake for about 10 minutes at 190ºC. Make sure the cookies are not soggy at the end of baking.
  7. Cool on grill rack.
  8. Once cooled, cover the biscuits without the hole with plum jam and cover with the biscuits with the hole.

  • 1 egg yolk
  • 270 g wheat flour
  • 40 g potato starch
  1. Mix wheat flour and potato starch and sift, add butter and quickly cut the dough with a knife until it looks like crumbs.
  2. Add sugar, salt, yolk and knead very quickly (you can also mix the dough in a blender).
  3. Form the dough into a ball, wrap it in food foil, and chill in the refrigerator for about 60 minutes.

Vanilla pudding or custard (recipe No. 1)

  • 2 cups (500 ml) milk
  • 2/3 cup wheat flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 160 g sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla paste, vanilla extract or grain 1 vanilla pod or 16 grams vanilla sugar
  1. Place 1 cup milk and sugar in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
  2. Blend the remaining cup (using a blender until combined) with the eggs, wheat flour and vanilla.
  3. Mix this mixture with boiling milk, stirring vigorously, and cook until a very thick pudding is obtained.
  4. Boil, stirring, for 2 minutes until the cream begins to bubble slightly, remove from heat and transfer to a container.
  5. Cover with cling film so that the film touches the surface of the pudding and leave the cream to cool.

Note: There will be too much pudding, but if you bake the cookies in classic shortbread tins, you'll use more of it. Besides...extra pudding is never a problem...

  • 200 ml milk
  • 50 ml cream 30% or 36%
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla paste, vanilla extract or grain of half a vanilla pod or 8 grams vanilla sugar
  • 3 egg yolks (from large eggs)
  • 60 g sugar
  • 15 g potato starch
  • 10 g butter
  1. In a small saucepan, boil milk and heavy cream with vanilla.
  2. Bring to a boil and set aside immediately.
  3. Place the egg yolks and sugar in a mixing bowl and mash until pale.
  4. Add potato starch and continue stirring until smooth.
  5. Add 100 ml of boiling milk to the resulting mixture and stir with a spatula.
  6. Pour the resulting mass into the remaining hot milk, stir well to combine.
  7. Place on a burner (medium power) and cook, stirring frequently with a wooden spatula.
  8. From the point of boiling, cook for about 1 minute, stirring until the cream pudding thickens.
  9. Remove from heat.
  10. Add the butter and stir it into the hot pudding.
  11. Cover the finished cream with contact film and let it cool (do not stir it while cooling).
  12. The finished cream can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

This pudding may be too little for 15 pieces of hearts; it is best to make 1.5 servings of this cream at once.

Preparing cookies:

  1. Remove the chilled dough from the refrigerator and roll it out onto a board to a thickness of 2 - 3 mm, carefully sprinkling it with flour.
  2. Cut out the heart from the dough (with cookie cutters) and place in your molds.
  3. Place the pudding in a pastry sleeve and pipe the pudding filling into the center of the cookie.
  4. Cover the pudding with another heart cut from shortcrust pastry, carefully sealing the edges of the shortbread so that the pudding does not leak during baking.
  5. Carefully prick the dough with skewers in several places to prevent it from rising during baking.
  6. Bake at 200ºC hot air for 13 - 15 minutes or until the cookies are crispy.

  • 30 g cocoa
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3 eggs

  • 1 tablespoon orange flower water (available in Arab food stores)
  • 70 g butter - melted and cooled (40 g + 30 g)

I give you my heart! Big hearts with cinnamon and filling! We prepare yeast dough with kefir and butter.

Ingredients for 8 pieces:

  • 250 ml kefir or buttermilk
  • 120 g butter, melted
  • 500 g wheat bread flour
  • 60 g sugar
  • 14 g fresh yeast or 7 g dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon grated lemon zest
  • 1 teaspoon grated orange zest
  • a pinch of salt

Honey filling

  • 100 grams of liquid honey (or a few tablespoons of maple syrup)
  • 3 teaspoons cinnamon

Besides:

  • 1 egg, beaten with 1 tablespoon milk, to brush the hearts before baking
  • brown sugar for dusting (optional)
  1. Melt the butter and mix it with the buttermilk.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour with dry yeast (make a solution from fresh yeast first), add sugar, pour in warm buttermilk and butter, first mix the dough in a food processor with a hook attachment at lower speeds, then at a higher speed until a smooth dough is obtained, cover with a linen towel and leave to rise (until doubled in volume) in a warm place.
  3. Roll out the dough onto a lightly floured surface to a rectangle (about 40 x 35 cm).
  4. Filling: spread honey evenly over the dough and sprinkle with cinnamon.
  5. Divide the dough into 8 strips (5cm x 35cm).
  6. Wrap each strip into a spiral and form a heart shape and place on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
  7. Cover with a kitchen towel and leave in a warm place for 30 minutes to double the volume.
  8. Immediately before baking the heart, brush with egg mixed with milk and sprinkle with sugar.
  9. Bake in a preheated oven at 170°C for about 20 minutes. Remove and cool on the grill.

Ingredients for about 20 cookies:

  • 230 g wheat flour
  • 175 g cold butter
  • 60 g powdered sugar
  • 1 egg yolk (from a large egg)
  • for filling: jam or jam from raspberries or strawberries
  1. Sift the wheat flour, add the butter and quickly cut with a knife until the dough resembles crumbs. Add the remaining ingredients and knead quickly. Form the dough into a ball, wrap it in food foil, and chill in the refrigerator for at least 60 minutes.
  2. Remove the dough from the refrigerator and roll out on a floured worktop so it doesn't stick to it or to the rolling pin until it is about 2mm thick.
  3. Cut about 40 individual round cookies, and cut out half of them into small shapes—little hearts.
  4. Place on a baking tray lined with paper and bake for about 10 - 12 minutes at 180°C or less until the cookies are lightly browned.
  5. Remove, cool on grill, add jam.

Recipe: Simple Butter Heart Cookies

I came up with the recipe for these cookies myself. Having made a mistake in the original recipe, we got the best Valentine hearts in the world. They are very delicate and fragile. Their structure resembles puff pastry. And the taste is simply amazing...

Ingredients about 60 pieces:

  • 280 g wheat flour
  • 250 g butter, chilled
  • 5 spoons of heavy cream 18%
  • 1 egg yolk

Besides:

  • 1 egg white for lubrication
  • crystal sugar for sprinkling
  1. Quickly knead all the ingredients and then roll out the dough, lightly flouring the countertop.
  2. Cut it into heart shapes.
  3. Before baking, brush with whipped egg white and sprinkle with sugar crystals, pressing down lightly.
  4. Bake on a greased and floured baking tray (or lined with baking paper) for 17-20 minutes at 175°C until lightly browned.
  5. Cool on the grill.

Valentine hearts with sugar sprinkles

Red Valentine heart. Slightly brittle, buttery, soft immediately after baking, and then crumbly after cooling. Just perfect for Valentine's Day.

Ingredients for about 30 small frosted Valentine cookies:

  • 200 g butter at room temperature
  • 1/2 cup baking sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups wheat flour
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • red food coloring in paste or gel
  1. Place the butter and sugar in the bowl of a mixer.
  2. Rub to obtain a very fluffy, light mixture.
  3. Add coloring (amount as needed) and mix until you get a smooth red dough.
  4. Add the egg and mix until all ingredients are completely combined.
  5. Add vanilla extract and stir.
  6. Add flour and mix to combine again.
  7. Form the dough into a ball, wrap in film and place in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  8. Dust the table thoroughly with flour.
  9. Place a ball of dough and roll it out to a thickness of 1 cm (not much, the cookies should be thick enough).
  10. Cut out the hearts using a mold.
  11. Place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper or covered with a Teflon mat.
  12. Bake at 190ºC for 12 - 15 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.
  13. Remove from oven and let cool.
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 - 3 tablespoons boiling water or lemon juice
  1. Mix powdered sugar in a bowl of boiling water until smooth.
  2. Decorate the baked cookies with icing and sprinkle with colored red or pink sugar!
  3. Store for up to 7 days in an airtight container.

Recipe: Valentine cookies Hearts in glaze

Fluffy, easy cookies that aren't just for Valentine's Day. They are soft, like cupcakes or like little pieces of cake. You can use them to form small cookies, for example in silicone molds. They are delicious and look beautiful with a raspberry glaze, although they can also be decorated with chocolate glaze.

Ingredients for 24 cookies:

  • 120g butter, melted and slightly cooled
  • 4 large eggs
  • 130 g granulated sugar for baking
  • 100 g wheat flour
  • 50 g ground almonds
  • 30 g cocoa
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  1. All ingredients should be at room temperature.
  2. Sift wheat flour with cocoa and baking powder, mix with almonds.
  3. Place the eggs and sugar in the bowl of a mixer.
  4. Whisk until fluffy and light (the eggs should even triple in size).
  5. Add vanilla extract and beat again.
  6. Slowly add the cooled (maybe a little warm) butter, whisking constantly.
  7. Add dry ingredients and use a spatula to combine.
  8. Grease a heart pan (pie pan) with butter and sprinkle with flour, removing excess flour.
  9. Fill each heart to 3/4 full.
  10. Bake at 180ºC for approximately 10 - 13 minutes, depending on the size of the pan, until the so-called dry stick test.
  11. Cool slightly in pan, then transfer to a metal rack. The cookies rise a little during baking with a slight slide.

Raspberry crumble

  • 6 - 8 tablespoons raspberry juice (preferably freshly squeezed from fresh berries or frozen)
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  1. In a bowl, mash all ingredients into a glaze.
  2. Dip only half of the heart into the glaze.
  3. While the glaze is still liquid, place the raspberry pieces on it.

French heart cookies made from ready-made puff pastry

If you love nutella and strawberries, and don't have time for a more complex filling, then this recipe is just for you. Everything is simple here, baking is very fast, but with what results! Plus, the strawberries go really well with the Nutella, and the whole cookie is complemented by a delicious and fresh puff pastry (best with butter). Buy ready-made dough and get started!

Ingredients about 20 pieces:

  • 1 packet puff pastry (approx. 375g)
  • half a jar of Nutella
  • 100 g strawberries
  • powdered sugar for sprinkling
  • chopped strawberries, optional
  1. Sprinkle the table with flour. Place puff pastry on it (if it is frozen, defrost it in advance). The dough should come to room temperature (this will prevent it from shrinking during baking).
  2. Cut out large hearts from the dough, about 8 - 10 cm in diameter, using a cookie cutter.
  3. Place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper or a Teflon mat.
  4. Place a full teaspoon of Nutella and a few strawberry slices in the center of each heart.
  5. Bake at 220ºC for 15 - 17 minutes until golden brown. Cool, sprinkle with powdered sugar and add strawberry slices, serve.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 170 g butter at room temperature
  • 3/4 - 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1.5 teaspoons vanilla extract
  1. Place the butter and sugar in the bowl of a mixer and cream until light and fluffy.
  2. Beat in the egg, add vanilla extract, add salt and continue beating.
  3. Add flour mixed with cocoa. Knead into a smooth mass.
  4. Wrap the finished dough in film and chill for 1 hour in the refrigerator.
  5. After this time, take out the dough, roll it out to a thickness of about 3 mm, occasionally sprinkling with flour. Cut the dough into heart shapes. Place it on a baking tray lined with baking paper at small intervals.
  6. Bake at 180ºC for 12 - 15 minutes, depending on the size of the cookies. Cool on grill racks.
  7. Decorate with royal icing.

In the vanilla version, cocoa should be replaced with wheat flour and grains from 1 vanilla pod should be added.

Meringue Valentine's Cookies

For people who don’t have time to bother with cookies, this is the fastest and easiest option. Meringues are so versatile that you can create shapes for almost any occasion. Meringues are dried at a lower temperature and they remain snow-white longer. Result? Great! Everyone smiled at them to my hearts.

Ingredients:

  • 4 large squirrels (1 squirrel weighs about 40 g)
  • a pinch of salt
  • 240 grams fine granulated sugar
  • red food gel coloring

All ingredients should be at room temperature.

  1. Place the whites in a bowl. Add a pinch of salt and then beat on high speed. Add sugar gradually, spoon by spoon (this is very important), whisking all the time.
  2. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
  3. Prepare a pastry sleeve.
  4. Make several stripes on the inside of the sleeve using gel dye.
  5. Place the dense meringue mixture into a round cup sleeve (1cm wide) and press the small sausages into heart shapes, leaving some gaps between them.
  6. Dry at 90ºC for 60 - 90 minutes (or longer depending on your oven), checking occasionally to see if they are done. The finished meringues will be crispy on the surface.

Chocolate gingerbread hearts, honey valentines

Delicious chocolate gingerbread cookies - you no longer need frosting to enjoy the taste of chocolate in your gingerbread cookies! You can bake them now and keep them in a tin until Valentine's Day. They may be firm after baking, but will soften when exposed to moisture (mine were soft the next day).

Ingredients:

  • 3 and 1/3 cups wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa
  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2.5 tablespoons of gingerbread spices (preferably homemade)
  • a pinch of salt
  • zest of 1 orange
  • 180 g butter
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 cup molasses (golden syrup or runny honey)
  • 55g dark chocolate, broken into pieces
  1. Wheat flour, cocoa, powdered sugar, baking soda, spices and salt - mix and sift.
  2. Place the butter, molasses and chocolate in a saucepan. Heat, stirring, dissolve and mix the ingredients. Set aside to cool; mixture may remain slightly warm.
  3. Beat the egg into the sifted dry ingredients, add the dissolved, slightly warm mixture, orange zest and beat.
  4. Transfer the resulting mass (may be sticky at this stage) into a container, wrap tightly with cling film and refrigerate for 1 - 2 hours (or longer). Staying in the refrigerator should make the mass concentrated and it will not stick to your hands.
  5. Once the dough has cooled, remove it from the refrigerator and roll it out to a thickness of about 3mm or more. Cut out cookies into heart shapes.
  6. Bake at 180ºC for 10 - 12 minutes (maybe a little longer). Cool on grill rack.
  7. Once baked and completely cooled, decorate the gingerbread cookies.

How to make gingerbread soft?

Gingerbread cookies are usually very hard after baking (this is due to the addition of honey or molasses). To soften, they need to absorb an appropriate dose of moisture, for example from the air or fruit. Then they melt in your mouth! Place the gingerbread cookies in a container and add the apple pieces there too. Or place the gingerbread cookies in a room with high humidity and within a day the gingerbread cookies will become soft and melt in your mouth. Apples should be peeled and replaced as needed.

  • 100 gr. powdered sugar
  • 1 PC. egg

    Prepare the ingredients.

    Remove the butter from the refrigerator in advance so that it comes to room temperature, mix it with powdered sugar. Add the egg to the butter and stir.

    Add 150 grams of sifted flour and corn or potato starch, knead into a smooth, elastic dough. If necessary, add a little more flour, but no more than 20 grams.

    Separate half of the dough, add red coloring and stir.

    Wrap both parts of the dough in film and place in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

    Roll out the dough with red dye on a floured surface to a thickness of 5 mm and cut out hearts with a mold. Stack them tightly, one on top of the other.

    Roll the white dough into flagella and stick them around the stack of hearts on all sides, carefully level them by rolling on a smooth surface so that you get an even roll with hearts inside. Wrap the workpiece in film and put it in the refrigerator for 2 hours.

    Preheat the oven to 200 degrees. Roll the frozen workpiece several more times in film on a smooth table surface, remove the film and cut into circles about 5 mm wide.

    Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place cookies on it. Cook for 10-15 minutes in the lower third of the oven.

    Remove the finished cookies from the oven, cool and remove from the parchment.

To make Heart cookies, you will need a special mold that allows you to cut out figures from the dough. You can buy it at a kitchenware store.

For the test you will need:

  • 200 grams of butter, first warm it at room temperature for thirty minutes;
  • zest of one lemon;
  • 450 grams of flour, preferably wheat;
  • 3 medium-sized chicken eggs;
  • 100 grams of granulated sugar.

For the glaze you need one hundred grams of white and dark chocolate without any additives. You can also choose a dairy option.

Chocolate cookies: preparation

Pre-seasoned butter must be kneaded. Then beat it with a mixer at medium speed. Without ceasing to stir, add lemon zest to the oil, beat in the eggs one at a time.

After the mass becomes homogeneous, you can add granulated sugar and then flour. If you pour it in a little at a time, you can quickly get rid of lumps and get a homogeneous mass. In the end, the mixer may no longer be necessary, since the stiff dough can be kneaded by hand. The finished product should be placed in the refrigerator for thirty minutes to cool.

After the Heart cookie dough has cooled, you need to roll it out. Use a mold to cut out hearts. They are placed on a baking sheet greased with oil. Cookies should be baked at a temperature of one hundred and fifty degrees until it turns golden brown.

When the cookies are ready, dip them in chocolate. Previously, white and black are melted separately in a water bath. That is, a row of cookies turns white, and a row turns black. If desired, the finished delicacy can be rolled in coconut flakes. To allow the glaze to harden, place the cookies in the refrigerator.

You can also make shortbread cookies in the shape of a heart. For it you need:

  • 200 grams of butter;
  • 2 cups wheat flour;
  • a glass of powdered sugar;
  • two tablespoons of vanilla sugar (can be replaced with vanilla);
  • one egg;
  • a pinch of salt;
  • zest of half an orange.

According to this recipe, the photos of “Hearts” cookies look quite appetizing. To do this, after preparing the main product, it is better to take care of decorating the cookies.

First of all, pour in flour and powdered sugar, thoroughly mixing these two ingredients together. Salt, vanilla sugar and orange zest are also added here. The mixture is laid out on a board, a hole is made in it, where the egg is broken. The butter is cut into pieces and placed around the edges. Using a knife, chop and mix the mixture. The result is dough that should not stick to your hands or knife. If this does not happen, you can add flour.

Shortbread. Preparation

Then the cookies are cut out with a special heart-shaped shape. You can also try to cut out the desired outline with a knife yourself. You can put a little flour on a baking sheet. There is no need to lubricate it with oil, since there is already enough of it in the dough.

The top of the cookies is brushed with egg white. It cooks quickly, at a temperature of 220 degrees. Once the batch is browned, it is removed.

To prepare these cookies, you can use either a modern electric waffle iron or an old version that was inherited from relatives. It turns out equally delicious.

It requires:

  • 3.5 cups flour;
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder;
  • six medium-sized eggs;
  • 200 grams of margarine;
  • 1.5 cups granulated sugar.

Also, when baking the first batch of cookies, you may need vegetable oil to grease the mold.

  • milk (warm) – 120 ml;
  • yeast – 15 g (three level teaspoons);
  • sugar – 3 teaspoons;
  • egg yolk – 1 pc.;
  • butter or margarine (needs to be slightly softened) – 30 g;
  • salt - a small pinch;
  • flour – 300 g;

For filling:

  • cinnamon (powder) – 1 bag (I have 20 g);
  • butter (here it’s definitely better to do without margarine) – 50 g;
  • sugar – 0.5 cups.

If you like poppy seeds, you can add them to the filling.
